Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum for majors in Elementary Education and Elementary Education/Early Childhood consists of three parts:
  1. The General Education Curriculum that gives each Millersville University student a well-rounded liberal arts base. A complete description of the General Education curriculum (pdf) is available in Millersville University's Undergraduate Catalog.

  2. The Major Blocks in which Elementary Education and Elementary Education/Early Childhood teacher-candidates investigate theory and practice in elementary schools.
  3. Electives and/or areas of concentration to equal a minimum of 120 university credits for graduation.

These elements provide structure while permitting the flexibility for many choices in developing a plan of study. Although guidance in course selection is provided by faculty advisors tracking each student's progress with Curriculum Forms, the final responsibility for each choice in course selection rests with the individual.
