As the President's designee, I am informing you of the approvals of the following Faculty Senate Curricular Actions.

Even though BIOL 241 requires demonstrated competency in BIOL 100 as a pre-requisite, students do not necessarily have to take BIOL 100 as a course.
The requirement for BIOL 100 may be satisfied by one of the following:

|G2 Requirements (12 credits)||None (4 courses/12 creidts will count towards Required Related||0 credits|

|ENGL 110, COMM 100, P, AW, WELL Requirements (15 credits)||None||15 credits|
COMMENT: The proposal has been approved with the stipulation that it will be reviewed on an academic year basis for a 3-year trial period. During that time, the department will gather data on the number of ESCI BSE majors who test out of the BIOL 100 course.
