Two meetings to challenge courses:
HUMN302: Confession, Apology, Memoir: Autobiographical Writings in the Greco-Roman World, a new three credit hour General Education and Perspectives course to be first offered in the Spring of 1997 if approved.
One meeting to challenge courses:
ESCI320: Roads West: Geology, Technology, Society and the American Experience, a new three credit hour General Education and Perspective course to be in effect Fall 1995 and to be first offered Fall 1996 if approved.
HPED350: Sport in America, a new three credit hour General Education and Writing course to be first offered in Spring 1996 if approved.
Agenda Item for the 7 May 1996 Meeting
Communication and Theatre Department Curricular Changes: the changes involve corrections to the Department's blue sheets (see Attachment D of the 16 April 1996 senate minutes).
IX. Faculty Senate Elections
The following senate committee positions are currently vacant:
Humanities and Fine Arts representative to the Academic Policies Committee, and
Social Sciences representatives to the Academic outcomes Assessment Committee, Academic Policies Committee, and the UCPRC, and
an Alternate to the International Selection Committee
X. Proposal for Changes in MU's Class Attendance/Grading Policy
The Academic Policies Committee is recommending changes in MU's class attendance/grading policy (see Attachment A of the 16 April 1996 senate minutes).
