Friday, February 13, 2009: The deadline for submitting study abroad applications for Summer and Fall 2009. November 21, 2008: Orientation session for all students who have been accepted to study abroad through one of Millersville's Partner Programs. The Orientation session will take place in the SMC MPR from 6:00 pm - 8:00pm.
November 7, 2008: The deadline to apply for a Spring 2009 internship with the Office of Global Education. More information is available in the announcements section
October 29, 2008: The London Met Orientation Session for accepted Spring 2009 students will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the SMC Room 43 October 17, 2008 is the paperwork deadline for all students who have been accepted to study abroad for Spring 2009. September 12, 2008: The deadline for submitting study abroad applications for Spring 2009.

Summer and Fall 2009 Applications NOW AVAILABLE! The following applications are online and available for students to download, complete, and submit to The Office of Global Education by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2009: -Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso -Universidad de Burgos -American Business School Paris -L'Université de Caen Basse-Normandie -University of KwaZulu-Natal -Kansai Gaidai University -Millersville in Marburg Program at Philipps-Universität Marburg -IUSP at Philipps-Universität Marburg -University of Strathclyde -St. Mary's University College -Universidad de Puerto Rico - Mayaguez **The applications and directions for completion can be found on each program's individual page. Applications for London Metropolitan University, Foro Europeo School of Business will be available over the next week. Intern with the Office of Global Education!The Office of Global Education and Partnerships is seeking motivated students to join our office team for the Spring 2009 semester. Targeted majors are international studies, business, government and political affairs, and communications. There are internship opportunities offered for both the fall and spring semesters as well as the summer. The fall/spring/summer internship program provides the opportunity to earn 3 academic credits while working in the office 15 hours per week.

PUCV Visit Dr. Jeffrey Wimer made a visit to Chile on August 8 and 9, 2008 to attend the Congreso Internacional de Actividad Fisica y Entrenamiento Deportivo (the International Conference on Physical Sport Training). Dr. Wimer, of Wellness and Sport Science, made two presentations entitled “Historia de las ayudas ergogénicas en el deporte” (The history of ergogenic aids in sports) and “Cuando volver a jugar después de la lesion” (When to return to play following injury). On August 13, Dr.Wimer also presented at Trinity College in Rancagua, Chile with a presentation entitled, “Trastornos alimenticios y la ansiedad de la imagen corporal” (Eating disorders and body image anxiety). more... more... U.S. Department of State Students Abroad Website The U.S. Department of State has created a website, http://studentsabroad.state.gov/, devoted solely to student travel abroad. The site contains all of the necessary travel information for students to have a safe and rewarding travel experience. It has several different sections including travel documents, health, emergencies, spring break, and many others. The site does a fantastic job of gathering all of the important student study and travel abroad information and putting it at one central location. Millersville student interning with British ParliamentKelly Mader, a Millersville University student, is an intern for the London Parliament. All the students participated in unique service learning projects which ranged from working in an HIV / AIDS clinic to educating runaway children. Announcing Two New International Academic Affiliations
The Office of Global Education and Partnerships is proud to announce the commencement of two new international academic affiliations. Millersville has formalized wide ranging partnership agreements with the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa and St. Mary's University College, Belfast, Northern Ireland, effective Spring 2007. MU students are participating in exchanges at both host institutions this semester. Please contact our office if you are interested in additional information on study abroad or other programs related to these new linkages.
