Peace and Education in Northern Ireland
Students should work with their academic advisor to ensure that these three credits are appropriately utilized for the student's major/minor requirements or to fulfill General Education requirements.
Cost
Millersville students will pay approximately $1,995.00 to participate in this course:
This cost includes:
- Airfare
- Accommodations
- Travel in Ireland
- Admissions and stipends for speakers
- Some Meals
This cost does not include:
- Millersville tuition and fees
- ISIC Cards
- Passport (if necessary)
- Some Meals
- Personal expenses (souvenirs and other daily expenses)
In the past, students have spent approximately $500.00 for entertainment, souvenirs, incidentals, and meals.
A payment schedule is available.
Financial Assistance
Since this program offers 3 academic credits, students should contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss their specific financial aid package.
Dates
Students will study in Ireland for 11 days and 9 nights, June 13 – June 23, 2010.
Accommodation
Students will be housed in hostels with Motel 6 standards or higher. These are modern hostels, purpose built peace and cultural conference centers, and B & Bs.
Eligibility
Students must register for one of the above mentioned MU courses (either undergraduate or graduate credits as appropriate).
Transfer of Credit
The course will be the equivalent of 3 MU credits for the eleven day program.
