Study/Intern Abroad Opportunities

Millersville University students, whether fluent in foreign language or English only, may study abroad in nearly every country worldwide for a summer, a semester, or an academic year. Although most students study abroad during their junior year, students may study or do an internship abroad for academic credit any time after completing 24 academic credits of study (individual department policies may vary).

General Overview

Study abroad is a valuable and important part of a student's undergraduate education. Regardless of a student's major, learning about another way of life first hand and the experience of seeing the world from another culture's perspective is invaluable to success in our global society.

To maintain world peace through effective and sensitive diplomacy, to compete economically, to remain at the pinnacle of scientific achievement, to offer social services successfully at home and abroad, to give our children an excellent education, and to live and work with neighbors and colleagues from different backgrounds, Americans must understand and appreciate other cultures. There is no better way to acquire the skills necessary to thrive in our multi-cultural world than to study or intern abroad.

Once we receive this form, a program coordinator will contact you to schedule an initial interest meeting.
