Honors and Awards Committee

  1. Membership

    Members of this committee are recommended and approved by Deans' Council.

    1. dean of graduate studies and extended programs serves as chair.

    2. two faculty members from each school

    3. director of development

    4. . administrative manager, president's office

    5. . administrative assistant, graduate studies office

  2. Functions

    1. Plans and implements the annual honors and awards convocation, a major academic affairs event held the week before spring commencement.

    2. Selects awards winners for the following university awards: Wickersham Memorial Scholarship, Class of 1898 Award, A. G. Breidenstine Scholarship, Thomas R. Baker Memorial Scholarship, Margie L. Ranck Award, Class of 1895 Award, John K. Harley Award, Mark Stine Scholastic Attainment Award, Wentzel-Wright Memorial Scholarship.

  3. Modifications

    Modifications of the membership and functions of this committee may be made by the President's Advisory Council and Deans' Council.
