International Selection Committee
- Membership
- Three faculty members, to be elected by the Faculty Senate for two-year terms. Two members shall be elected to serve terms beginning in even numbered years, and one member shall be elected in odd numbered years.
- Two members, to be appointed by the provost or designee for overlapping two-year terms
following the outcome of the fall Faculty Senate election of this committee.
- An alternate, elected for a one-year term, to fill a vacancy which may arise prior to the expiration of a term following the outcome of the fall Faculty Senate election of this committee.
- No member shall serve more than two consecutive terms.
- No two members of the committee shall be from the same department, and no more than two members shall be from the same academic division or non school unit.
- The chairperson shall be the Director of International Affairs, who shall be an ex officio member of the committee.
- Functions
- The committee shall develop guidelines and procedures for the recruitment and selection of faculty and administrators for teaching, research, study, and other professional development opportunities abroad, and these shall be submitted to the Faculty S
enate for its approval.
- The International Selection Committee shall review applications from faculty and administrators for teaching, research, study, and other professional development opportunities abroad and forward the full list of applicants, in priority order, to the p
resident.
