Section 1: University Structure and Governance
Noonan Endowment Fund Committee
The Noonan Endowment Fund was established to facilitate and encourage programs and events for the enrichment of students at the University. The fund is intended to supplement classroom instruction and broaden the cultural awareness of the entire University community.
- Membership
- five faculty members, one each from the academic units and non-school unit, elected by Faculty Senate for overlapping terms of two years; and one student appointed by the Student Senate.
- the dean of graduate studies and extended programs serves as committee chairperson.
- Functions
- the committee establishes application periods twice yearly
- for the fall term, the application period is from the first day of classes through the end of the third week of the term
- for the spring and summer terms, the application period is from the first day of classes through the third week of the term.
- the committee meets to consider funding requests at the close of each application period. Applicants are notified of decisions within two weeks thereafter.
- Modifications
Modification of this committee may be made by the University administration.
