Millersville University's Institutional Identity Project
On August 31, 2006, our Convocation celebration marked the internal kick-off of Millersville's new identity campaign, “Seize the Opportunity.” The result of a year-an-a-half long research and exploration project, the focus is now on implementing the tools of reputation building, like the new positioning statement, goals, logo and signature, and University promise. Our University's voice is clear. And we are energized at the prospect of sharing the good news of a Millersville education.
The Institutional Identity website will post frequent updates on implementation progress and offer practical tools for the campus community's use.
Goals of the Institutional Identity Process
- Broaden the reach, relevance and resonance of Millersville University throughout Pennsylvania and the region.
- Help the University position itself as an agent of constructive change within the system, community and Commonwealth of which it is a part.
- Make the University better known and understood, so that the education it provides comes not as a surprise to the student (undergraduate or graduate) but as confirmation that Millersville University was an inspired choice.
