Tom Bell
Conference Host
As chair of the Department of Industry & Technology, it is my pleasure to welcome
you to participate in the IGAEA conference at Millersville University. This year marks the
150th Anniversary of the University and the 75th Anniversary of the Department. During
this time, we are celebrating our rich heritage of tradition and innovation.
Osburn Hall, which houses the Department, has been completely renovated and is
ready for your conference. This building is centrally located within the academic sector of
campus in close proximity to dining facilities, dormitories, and parking. Our two-story atrium is inviting, spacious,
and enables easy access to the three building levels. The open architecture enables easy viewing of resources
throughout the structure. Osburn Hall is organized according to the four technology clusters of communications,
production, power and transportation, and occupational safety and environmental health. Each cluster includes
classrooms, laboratories, and faculty offices.
The Conference Planning Committee has been diligently planning for an exemplary conference. The planned
program promises to continue the tradition of quality IGAEA conferences with a variety of professional
development sessions on contemporary innovations and time for family oriented social activities. I think that
you will learn from and enjoy your experiences on campus as well as the local culture and attractions.
Best wishes for a memorable and rewarding conference. Perhaps, you will Find Your Future. Here.
Sincerely,
Perry R. Gemmill, Ph.D.
