Participants and families may wish to drive to Millersville- (Lancaster County Pennsylvania). Millersville is
located southwest of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We are just a few miles off of the famous Lincoln Highway- US
30. See map for directions.
BY AIR:
Lancaster has a regional airport with service to/from Lancaster via U S Airways Express to Pittsburgh. There
is an US Airways’ discount offer for the IGAEA 2005, Gold File Number 67673295, July 31 - August 04,
2005, into Lancaster, PA (LNS).
Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) which is located 30 miles Northwest of Millersville. Also Philadelphia
and BWI airports are only 90 miles away from Millersville. Car rentals can be obtained at BWI, HIA and
Philly.

BY TRAIN:
Lancaster is on the Pennsylvania Corridor with daily service to Philadelphia. Travelers from the North and
South can make connections to Lancaster thru Philadelphia. From the West- Chicago take the Capitol
Limited train #30 leaving Chicago at 5:35 PM to Pittsburgh 4:21 AM and transfer to the Three Rivers #40
leaving Pittsburgh at 10:00 AM and arriving at Lancaster at 4:21 PM If traveling via Amtrak, we will try to
provide a pick-up at the Lancaster Station. You need to advise us as to when your train will arrive so we can
schedule your pick-up.

All of Lancaster County’s major highways (US Routes 30, 283, and 222, and PA Routes 501, 462, 272 and
23) meet in Lancaster City with the exception of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (US Route 76), which travels in an
east-west direction across the northern part of Lancaster County. The turnpike interchanges at these exits
provide convenient access to Lancaster destinations:
From Baltimore and south:
Take Route I-83 north to Route 30 east. Then follow “From
Route 30,” below.
From Harrisburg and west:
Take Route 283 east, then follow “From Route 30,” below.
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, traveling east:
Take Exit 19/247 (Harrisburg East), onto Route 283 east.
From Rt. 283, take exit for Route 741 east. For about five
miles, follow Route 741 east (the name Rohrerstown Road will
change to Millersville Road), then turn right at the light at
Route 999. Follow “Almost There,” below.
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, traveling west:
Take Exit 21/286 (Reading/Lancaster) and follow Route 222
south to Route 30 west. Then follow “From Route 30,” below.
From Route 222 south:
Take the exit for Route 30 west, then follow “From Route 30,”
below.
From Route 30:
Take the exit for Route 741 east. Follow Route 741 east (the
name Rohrerstown Road will change to Millersville Road.).
About four miles beyond Route 30, turn right at the light onto
Route 999. Follow “Almost There,” below.
From downtown Lancaster City:
Go west on Orange Street, turn left on Charlotte Street and
then bear right onto Manor Street. It will become Route 999
(Manor Avenue). When you cross Route 741 (Millersville
Road), follow “Almost There,” below.
Almost there:
After the second traffic light (after Route 741), watch for the
fork in the road and bear left onto George Street. Follow
George Street. After you cross West Cottage Ave., you will
be on the campus.
