The Industrial Technology Degree has eight unique specializations (listed in the navigation bar on the left) available to help prepare you for professional life. The Construction Technology option provides students with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in construction technology. Experience with computer-aided drafting and design, architectural design, blueprint reading, materials and processes, construction methods. Management issues like planning, scheduling, supervision, estimating, and contracting are addressed. This specialization offers both a bachelor's degree program (4 years, typ.) and an associate's degree program (2 years, typ.).
The coursework you’ll complete is divided into two basic categories – general education (required by the University) and departmental requirements (major coursework). The information below details the departmental requirements for both the bachelor's degree and the associate’s degree.

The associate's degree Construction Technology option is for those students looking to secure technician level position in the construction industry. In addition to the Universities general education requirements, you will complete the coursework listed below. If you decide that you want to continue on to work towards a bachelor's degree, the classes you take for your associates degree will work in seamlessly into a four year plan.
Technical Literacy Core: 9 credit hours (3 courses)
Technical Option: 21-22 credit hours
