Students pursuing the Electronics/Control Systems option explore issues and gain practical skills in dealing with power, control, and electronic systems. If you choose to concentrate in electronics systems, you will have courses preparing you to work with digital electronics, instrumentation, control circuitry, and electronic communication systems. The control concentration includes fluid power, robotic systems, and designing industrial control systems. This specialization offers both a bachelor's degree program (4 years, typ.) and an associate's degree program (2 years, typ.).
The coursework you'll complete is divided into two basic categories – general education (required by the University) and departmental requirements (major coursework). The information below details the departmental requirements for both the bachelor's degree and the associate’s degree.

The associate's degree Electronics/Control Systems Technology option is for those students looking to secure technician level position in industry. In addition to the Universities general education requirements, you will complete the coursework listed below. If you decide that you want to continue on to work towards a bachelor's degree, the classes you take for your associates degree will work in seamlessly into a four year plan.
