Events

Evening of the Arts
A special spring evening to visit The Jenkins School to see the end results of a school-wide theme of the Arts. “The Arts” include all the students of the school using various forms of art media and is taught by the teachers. During this unit, we invite “Artists in Residence” and have special performances at school assemblies. The finale is to invite family, friends and the community to a fun evening of live entertainment, munching on hors d’oeuvres, and browsing through the Jenkins School Art Gallery.

Field and Fitness Day
Field & Fitness Day is a day in May for Jenkins Students to participate in outdoor events to test their abilities in a variety of activities. We provide an atmosphere free of competition with plenty of exercise and encouragement for classmates.

Thanksgiving Lunch
A school-wide turkey luncheon in which all Jenkins School students are invited. The students and teachers help to prepare and cook the meal. The PTO parents volunteer to help set up and serve the meal for this special feast which includes all the thanksgiving meal trimmings.

Grandparents/Special Visitors Day
Grandparents/Special Visitors Day is a special school day where the past and present come together to share. The Jenkins students perform for their grandparents and eat a snack together after spending time in the classrooms.
