This work has been derived by tracing the environment around me using simple means, I tape a piece of plastic film to the window and trace my surroundings as they speed by or as I change my physical position to the drawing, therefore shifting the perspective. The drawing is then printed on paper using screenprinting or traditional Japanese relief printing processes and in some instances further developed by hand coloring. This process becomes a document of the act of looking as it records what catches my eye, the speed and direction of the objects being seen, and the history through layering of the eyes scanning of the exterior environment. The visual impact is akin to that of Abstract Expressionism in its all over pattern, sense of movement, artists mark and flattening of the picture plane yet the working process is much different in its intent and approach.
