Each spring, the DVGA awards one or two
high-achieving geography majors from each of the DVGA region schools.
Congratulations to the following awardees.
Award of Distinction for Advancement of Geography in the Delaware Valley A number of geographers within the DVGA region have made significant contributions to the advancement of geography. Since 2001, the DVGA has been recognizing their service with the 'Award of Distinction for Advancement of Geography in the Delaware Valley'. This award is given annually (since 2001) to a geographer from the DVGA who has made a lasting contribution to the advancement of the discipline within the region. 2001 Henry Michael, University of Pennsylvania Museum
