From PA Turnpike: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) to Exit 339, toward Fort Washington/Philadelphia/Ambler. Proceed thru the toll booth to the far left hand lane. Keep straight and the hotel is 2/10 miles on the left. PLEASE NOTE: This is not the same location as our previous DVGA Fort Washington meetings, it is 1000 feet before it, on the left side (Same side).

"Saltwater Intrusion, Groundwater Contamination and the reaction in the Philippines"
Charles D. McGynn, Ph.D.

Chuck McGlynn is a geography professor at Rowan University. His area of research is water resources and he published his thesis on the unique response to groundwater contamination in Cebu, the 2nd largest metropolis in the Philippine archipelago. He has visited the island over a dozen times over past two decades and is well versed in the rapidly changing circumstances there. In addition to water resources Dr. McGlynn also teaches writing seminars, population geography and regional courses in Asia, North America and Russia. He will offer his thoughts and experiences on his research in Cebu and life in the Philippines where he and his family are returning again this summer. His family supports the Our Lady of Lourdes children's program in Cebu with gently used clothing, books and school supplies. Anyone wishing to donate items for this cause may contact him directly.
