Imperatives for the Future: The State System Strategic Plan
As a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, Millersville University is guided and informed by Imperatives for the Future: A Plan for Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education. The System's plan has three major initiatives:
- focus on learning;
- collaboration and integration; and
- accountability;
and four strategic goals:
- expand access to new and existing clientele, with attention to the increasingly diverse and non-traditional members;
- enhance and expand learning opportunities for Pennsylvanians and others through information and communication technologies;
- strengthen the match between the State System's educational programs and the needs of students and the state; and
- optimize the management and development of System resources.
