Please note: Several courses in this program have prerequisites. This means students cannot take certain courses until they have completed foundation courses. Enrollment in foundation courses is often determined by student performance on a placement exam. Therefore, poor student performance on a placement exam or failing to pass a foundation course will extend the length of time necessary to complete this program.

Also note: West Chester University requires that students earn the grade of “C” or better in the following courses: SMD 212, 310, 311, 312, 313, 315, 316, 414, 417, 418, 454; SML 310, 311; WSSD 311, 390, 450, 486, 591; and BIOL 254, 255, 256; and maintain a minimum overall Grade Point Average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in order to be recommended for the BOC exam to become a Certified Athletic Trainer.
