To be medically eligible to participate in athletics at Millersville University you must meet the following criteria:

 All freshman and newcomers

Have an entrance physical on file with the Witmer Infirmary as is required of all new students.

1. Fill out the appropriate forms with the MU Athletic Training Staff. (personal data, release of medical information, and acceptance of risk)
2. Have orthopedic exam conducted by Athletic Training Staff. (either at athletic training room or during scheduled team physicals)
3. Pass a comprehensive physical given by the Health Service at Witmer Infirmary.
4. Yellow card issued at the completion of the physical must be filled out and turned in to your respective equipment manager.

 All returning athletes who have participated within the last year in MU athletics

1. Health Services will review medical records from past year to determine if any follow up exams are needed.
2. Fill out the appropriate forms with the MU Athletic Training Staff. (personal data, release of medical information, acceptance of risk and health history update)
3. Athletic Training Staff reviews health history update and determines if further consultation is necessary.
4. If further review is necessary then athlete will be required to meet with the athletic trainers or visit Health Services for a review and be issued a yellow card after concerns are addressed.
5. If no health service or athletic training review is necessary then a yellow card will be issued.
6. Yellow card must be filled out and turned in to your respective equipment manager.
