The Millersville University “Marauder” Marching Band is proud to present their 2011 field show entitled “Love, Tin, and Color Again”, the story of a young woodcutter and his beautiful bride. We join the happy couple as they begin building a house in the woods. All is well until the woodsman’s axe is cursed by the Wicked Witch of the East. The axe slowly injures the man until his entire body is replaced by steel and tin, changing his life forever. The Tin Man abandons his love, determined to keep working, but eventually rusts in the rain. Unable to move, he remains alone and forgotten for many years until being found by a young girl, a scarecrow, and a dog. They then set out on a journey together to find what was once lost. Follow the Tin Man on his journey to find love in this combination of original work by Brian Thompson and selections from well-known favorites like “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”, “Man of Tin”, “As Long As You’re Mine”, “Ease on Down the Road”, and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. |
