Band Dues and Equipment Cost

Information on the cost of dues and equipment for the band are listed here.
Order forms and more information can be found in the information packet later on this page.

Please bring a check payable to MU Marching Band on Meet the Band Day for all necessary items.

Band Dues

Cost: $40.00

Dues cover: Dry-cleaning for uniforms, the end of year band banquet, and band camp housing.

Black Marching Shoes

Cost: $27.00

Required by:
Wind Players

Pit

Note: If you have non-shiny black marching shoes from previous years or high school, you may use your own pair.

Aussie Hats

Cost: $38.00

Required by:
Wind Players
Drumline

Note: The Aussie is a one-time investment, and is yours to keep.

Black Band Gloves

Cost: $3.00 per pair

Note: Some instruments (mainly clarinets) must cut off the fingertips to the first knuckle.

Colorguard Jazz Shoes

Cost: $29.95

Colorguard

Note: If you alredy have split sole jazz sneakers, you do not need to purchase these.

Tan Colorguard Gloves

Cost: $12.00 per pair

Required by:
Colorguard

Note: If you have tan gloves (must be tan), you may use your own pair.

Marching Band as a Class

Please note that this website does not sign you up to take band as a credited course.
To do this, you need to register through the Millersville Registrar's Office.

Incoming freshmen need to contact their advisors as soon as possible to be added into band as a class.
Be sure to register for both the "Camp" course and the "Semester" course.

The course numbers are as follows:

Also note that "first year in band" does not necessarily mean "freshman".
This means that this is your first year of taking band as a credited course.
