TWO-YEAR PROTECTION POLICY

All AIM For Success students sign an Academic Agreement when admitted to the program that stipulates their responsibilities as students and the Program's responsibility to provide services. The student's personal Academic Agreement is drawn and revised on a semester basis. Under this two-year policy, students can be protected from being dismissed by the University if they comply with the program requirements and the provisions outlined in the academic contract. If the student does not comply with the program requirements and the provisions outlined in the Student Academic Contract and receives below 2.00 semester QPA, the two-year protection will be revoked. As a result, the student will be subject to the University Academic Probation and Dismissal Policies.

Academic Agreement

The AIM For Success Program is a student support program designed to assist students in developing personal and academic skills, strength of character, and leadership potential.

As a student in the AIM For Success Program, I have the right to expect that the Program will provide me with valid and reliable services that are easily accessible and readily available to support my efforts to be successful.

I agree to enter into a collaborative contract with the Program and remain in good academic standing by:

- - MEETING WITH MY PEER AND/OR OUTREACH COUNSELOR AT THEIR OR MY OWN REQUEST.

- - ATTENDING ALL MY ACADEMIC CLASSES AND PUTTING FORTH MY BEST EFFORT.

- - USING TUTORIAL SERVICES WHEN REQUESTED BY A PROFESSOR, THE PROGRAM STAFF, AND/OR MYSELF.

- - ATTENDING ALL SEMINAR COURSES OFFERED BY THE PROGRAM.

I understand and agree to fulfill this agreement. In doing so, I am investing in my future as a successful college student. By not fulfilling this agreement, the two-year protection policy and Program advantages will be revoked.
