Teams, Departments & Clusters

The 64 PGST Scholars are divided into eight teams, each one supervised and instructed by faculty Mentors, and assisted by a Counselor and an Intern.

The team sequence is A-1, A-2, B-3, B-4, C-5, C-6, D-7 and D-8. Pairs of teams form Clusters (A-Cluster, etc.) that meet to discuss issues in education, and work together on the Future Schools project.

Each team divides up the teaching responsibility for Kids' College by choosing from among eight Departments: Art, Math, Music, Reading, Science, Social Studies, World Languages and Writing. Once these assignments have been made, students meet with their Department Mentor and fellow teachers to plan their curriculum and develop lesson plan ideas.
