Millersville University Police

Investigations

The Millersville University Police Department conducts criminal investigations through the coordination of Detective Sergeant Arthur White, and under the direction of the departments' Lieutenants and the Chief. Depending upon the nature and scope of the investigation, investigations may be handled by the initial officer, referred to an officer who specializes in an identifiable area of criminal investigations, or conducted by a team of officers.

We do ask for your cooperation and understanding. On television, crimes are solved in one-hour time increments and according to audience attention spans. In actuality, police investigations can comprise exhaustive work and hundreds of man hours.

MUPD officers specialize in many investigative areas such as computer crime, fraud, sexual assault, and terroristic activity, but MUPD is also able to consult with other agencies and departments such as the Lancaster County Detectives Unit and the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Lab.

Help us solve crime at MU! It is up to all of us to keep our community as safe as possible. You can report suspicious or criminal activity or other information anonymously through this link. You can also learn a little bit about the investigative process by browsing the links under Investigations.
