Lost and Found

If you have lost an item, please:

  • Be aware that there are many 'lost and found' stations on campus
  • Check first with the office of the building where you believe you may have lost your item
  • Check with the front dest of the Student Memorial Center, Ganser Library, the dining halls, or other large public buildings. Members of the general community frequently turn in lost property to those areas.
  • Occasionally, someone will turn in found property directly to the University Police Station, or the other offices on campus will turn over lost and found items to us after they have had them for a while. If you would like to see if we have your property, please call during business hours. Patrol officers on duty after business hours do not have access to stored lost and found property.

If you have found an item, please

  • turn it in first to the main office of the building where you found the item. That's the first place the owner will look
  • If you have found it in outside areas, you can turn it over to the SMC front desk. The front desk of the Student Memorial Center has the central lost and found location on campus
  • * If it is valuable property, or contains identification information, driver's licenses, credit cards, or room keys, please bring them to the University Police Station during business hours.
