Dr. Green began her post-secondary education at East Carolina University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in psychology. For her graduate work, Dr. Green decided to remain at East Carolina, and she received her Master of Science Degree in Psychology from this institution as well as her certification in School Psychology. To complete her schooling, Dr. Green then attended the University of Kansas where she earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology.
Since becoming a professor at Millersville University Dr. Green has taught primarily at the graduate level. The undergraduate course that she commonly teaches is General Psychology (PSYC 100). In comparison to this, at the graduate level she teaches Child Development Within the Family System, Consultation, Psychological Assessment I, and she supervises clinical and school psychology graduate students in their placements. In terms of research, she is highly interested in the topic of family loyalty as well as the use of qualitative approaches in research.
