Gifted Institute- "Gearing Up for Gifted "

June 23-27, 2008 (8am-4:30pm) on-campus at Millersville University, Bolger Conference Center/Gordinier Building in Lehr

The Institute uniquely provides opportunities for classroom teachers, administrators and teachers of the gifted to maximize and blend all factors of education to benefit gifted students.

This Institute will emphasize cooperation and interaction between the regular education setting, gifted education resources and administrative support.

Institute Objectives

By the conclusion of this institute teachers and administrators will become aware of and plan ways to implement:

Programming options available to gifted students within the traditonal classroom and gifted support classes.
Online resources that can be effective for gifted curriculum
Ways to evaluate and improve educational opportunities for gifted in all areas of their school experience
Analyzing and combining factors that contribute to programs of excellence
Effective programming geared toward their individual district, students and resources
