Eligibility


All activity fee-paying students, faculty & staff members are eligible to compete. In co-ed activities, spouses of the above groups are eligible to compete.

Eligibility for the following groups is subject to the following guidelines:

  1. Participants using an assumed name will be barred from all intramurals activities in that semester.
  2. A team will forfeit any event in which an ineligible player participates.
    1. It is the Captain's responsibility to confirm eligibility of participants
  3. Participants may NOT participate on two different teams in a same gender league and sport.
  4. Only Free Agents may request a transfer after their first league game.
  5. Participants must sign an informed consent form.
  6. To be eligible for playoffs, a participant must have participated in at least one (1) league game.

NCAA, CLUB SPORT MEMBERS & PROFESSIONALS INTRAMURAL PARTICIPATION

  1. All students who have used their college athletic eligibility as determined by the NCAA in a given sport are ineligible for intramural competition in their respective sport or any related sports.
  2. Any student who has earned 3 varsity letters in a given sport is ineligible for intramural competition in their respective sport or any related sports.
  3. Any student who practices regularly with the varsity team is ineligible.
    • Regardless if that individual is inilegible to compete due to grades or the tranfer rule.
    • If you practice regularly with a varsity team you are a team member & are ineligible for intramural competition in their respective sport or any related sports.
  4. Any student on a varsity sport roster @ the beginning of a semester or after the first league game is ineligible for intramural competition in their respective sport or any related sports.
    • If the player plays a sport (regardless if they quit the team) in the fall semester, you are ineligible to participate in the fall semester, the upcoming spring semester & the following fall semester
    • If the player plays a sport (regardless if they quit the team) in the spring semester, you are ineligible to participate in the spring semester, the upcoming fall semester & the following spring semester
    • A team will forfeit any event in which an ineligible player participates.
  5. Members of a Club Sport team may have 1 player participate per team in their respective sport or any related sports
  6. Any student who has established themselves as professionals in any sport shall be ineligible for intramural competition in their respective sport or any related sports, which they have lost their amateur standing.
