COLLEGIATE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (CLDP)
Creating The Leaders Of Tomorrow Through The Actions Of Today
The Collegiate Leadership Development Program (CLDP) was established in 2003 by the Offices of Social Equity & Diversity and Student Programs.
The program is designed to enhance leadership opportunities by educating students in the process of University structure, organization and involvement. The CLDP will familiarize student leaders with key university administrators and create a better understanding and greater respect between students and the University administration. Upon completion of the program, students will provide University officials with a new reservoir of student talent available for appointment to boards, commissions, search committees, and other forms of service. The CLDP runs from January 24 – March 14, 2007.
Program Objectives
1. To begin cultivating the next generation of student leaders through greater activism on campus and in the Millersville community.
2. To promote and facilitate constructive dialogue and interaction between student leaders and key University administrators.
3. To gain a better understanding about how students can play a more effective role in influencing University decisions.
4. To gain a greater appreciation for interest in campus life and University affairs.
5. To develop a sense of one's strengths and weaknesses as a leader.
