The Practice Improvement Unit Lead will be responsible for overseeing various state initiatives, implementation of training and technical assistance, and development of curriculum assigned to staff and unit. The Practice Improvement Unit Lead's primary initiative responsibility is to be Independent Living, Youth Engagement, and Family Centers work. The Practice Improvement Unit Lead will provide direct supervision to four staff members. In addition, the Practice Improvement Unit Lead will provide direction and supportive supervision to the Youth and Family Coordinator, Parent Liaisons and Student Interns/Youth Ambassadors that supports family and youth involvement throughout the program. The Practice Improvement Unit Lead functions as a team member of the Organizational Effectiveness Department for the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Training Program (Training Program).
Master's degree in social work or closely related field required. Excellent interpersonal skills, writing skills, customer service skills, collaborations skills and facilitation skills required. Must have competency in curriculum design, delivery and evaluation. Must have knowledge of the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Practice Standards, public child welfare practice and independent living services.
Minimum of five years experience in child welfare and/or related human service field. A minimum of two years experience providing technical support and on-site monitoring to Independent Living Programs and family advocacy.
