Millersville University offers computer-based testing for all 35 CLEP exams in a computer test lab located in Lyle Hall, Room G-48 on the ground level of Lyle Hall.


SCHEDULING A CLEP EXAM APPOINTMENT

Testing is offered on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. , by appointment only. To schedule one or more exams, submit your complete Registration/Admission Form with a first and second choice of date and time to the address listed below at least 2 – 3 weeks before your preferred test date. You are welcome to contact the Test Center to inquire about available appointment times.

How to register to take a CLEP exam
1. Call the Test Center (717-872-3710) to reserve a test date and time.

NOTE: MU students must review the MU CLEP policy and obtain appropriate permissions before scheduling a test.

2. Click here to print a copy of the Registration-Admission form (PDF format) and the CLEP Information for Candidates booklet (PDF format).

3. Submit the Registration-Admission form with the correct fees (at least 2-3 weeks prior to the preferred test date). Your registration confirmation will be emailed with appropriate instructions, a campus map, and directions to the computer-testing lab.

PAYMENT POLICY

The recommended payment method for all exams is by credit card on the day of the exam. If you are paying by check or money order, a payment of $70 (payable to CLEP) may be submitted on the day of the exam. CASH is not accepted. Indicate method of payment on the CLEP Registration form in the FEES Section.

A separate, non-refundable computer lab fee/registration payment of $15 (payable to Millersville University ), must be made by check or money order and submitted along with the Registration/Admission form to:

Upon receipt of the complete Registration/Admission Form, the Test Center will send you a registration confirmation a campus map and detailed instructions to the location of the CLEPcomputer testing lab.

 

PREPARATION FOR CLEP EXAMS

The CLEP Official Study Guide (current edition) gives sample questions for all 35 exams and guidance regarding exam preparation. Supplementary college text books will also provide in-depth and content-specific information relating to the subject. The CLEP website contains individual subject study guides, which can be downloaded. Other sources of CLEP preparation materials can be found in local bookstores or on the web sites of booksellers.
