Tutor Pay Rates

Payroll Scale: These rates apply for all tutors
1 Student 2/3 Students 4/5 Students
NO TRAINING: $7.25/HR $7.50/HR $8.50/HR
LEVEL 1 TUTOR: $7.50/HR $7.75/HR $8.75/HR
LEVEL 2 TUTOR: $7.75/HR $8.00/HR $9.00/HR

~~Payroll Increase Criteria
To be appointed to the Level 1 Tutor Position, a student must have completed Level 1 of Tutor Training. To be appointed to a Level 2 Tutor Position, a student must have completed Level 2 of Tutor Training after becoming certified at Level 1. For specific details please contact the Graduate Assistants at 871-2420.

You will be paid for 15 minutes of prep time for every hour that you tutor (this time is automatically calculated by the graduate assistants, you do not need to add this time to your time sheet).

You will be paid 30 minutes for each initial contact meeting (Even if the tutee is a “No-Show”). The Tutoring Center documents this time for you.

You will be paid 30 minutes for meeting with the tutees’ professor. The Tutoring Center documents this time for you.

You will be paid 15 minutes if a tutee does not show up for an individual tutoring session (please do not wait longer than 15 minutes and write “no show” on your time sheet).
