Our Vision
We exist to empower and equip Millersville University students to live a Christ centered life-style through Sunday worship celebrations and healthy care groups that pray, open the Word, worship, encourage, and reach out so they can discover joy and a great purpose in a life-time with Christ.
We want to be a people who: Live An Eternal Vision
What is "Vision?" Vision is to see a destination even though there may be miles of road between where you are and where you are going. With God, nothing is impossible (Jeremiah 32:17). In fact, He is able to do more than we could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20-21).
Vision is what guides you down the street through a hundred distractions on either side that try to get you to stop. There are many good things to do, but vision helps you keep focused on the specific task God has called you to. Vision is a picture of work God will accomplish.
We believe that every healthy church should have a healthy understanding of biblical community. There are five areas that we believe God wants us to excel in through the power of the Holy Spirit - (Acts 1: 8):
Prayer -- intercession in faith for each other and the world around. Opening the treasure of the Word and applying it. Worshipping God in celebration for who he is and what he has done. Encouragement of each other in supportive and accountable relationships. Reaching out to others who need Christ and positive friendships.
In other words, together we will learn how to:
- Talk with God,
- Understand the Bible,
- Honor God,
- Build up people
- And share Christ.
Major Ministries
We envision this spiritual growth happening in the following ministries with these results:
- Care groups: Caring groups of 7-15 people each, strategically placed in every dorm and target group appropriate to the campus community.
- Celebration: Masses of people gathering every Sunday to worship God and hear from God.
- Commissioning: A pre-graduation celebration where seniors are commissioned to extend the Kingdom of God wherever they go to live and work around the nation and world.
"What would happen if hundreds of Millersville students would discover a purpose for living and a vision to change history for the kingdom of God through their field of work?"
