office has volunteer, employment and internship opportunities
for students interested in a variety of communications and marketing-related
positions.
Positions are filled at the end of each semester for positions
available the following semester. Summer employment opportunities
also available.

Clerical
Clerical
positions provide support to the entire department. Duties include
answering telephone calls, directing visitors, sorting mail,
responding to inquiries, data entry, filing, and a variety of
other tasks requiring organization and great communication skills.

Graphic
Design
Students working as graphic designers
will manage the development and design of a variety of printed
materials, from conceptualization to delivery. Designers will
work directly with on-campus clients and printers to provide
creative design solutions which fulfill marketing objectives.

Marketing
The marketing department has employment opportunities for students
who are interested in university marketing, advertising, promotion,
sports marketing, copywriting (for print and web) and project
management.

Photography
Photography assistants will take color photos using traditional
and digital cameras, archive photos in photo archiving system,
scan, print and perform other technical duties as required.
Photo assignments range from sports coverage to on campus events

Public
Relations
Responsibilities of communications assistants includes the dissemination
of news releases, support of news coverage, special public relations
projects, and other tasks as required. Excellent journalism,
writing, and proofing skills are required for this position.
