MILLERSVILLE UNIVERSITY TO HOST CONSTITUTION DAY
MILLERSVILLE, Pa., September 10, 2007—Millersville University of Pennsylvania and the American Democracy Project Committee will host “Constitution Day,” on September 17, 2007 at the Student Memorial Center. All scheduled events will be held in the Multipurpose Room.
Throughout the day, participants can register to vote and can freely express themselves by making signs and posters or creating designs on Constitution Day t-shirts. Shirts will be free while they last.
Other scheduled events include:
1:00p.m. Public Forum on Citizenship: An Exercise in Free Speech--Panel of Millersville faculty and students discussing the Constitution and citizenship.
2:00p.m. Free Speech Trivia Contestwith MC Billy Warmth: Get a team together and show what you know on the Constitution. Prizes will be given to the winners.
3:00p.m. Exercise Your Voice: Register to Vote
4:00p.m. Documentary Screening & Discussion: Watch a documentary and participate in a discussion of Women in Office—“Running in High Heels.”
7:00p.m. Movie Night in the Quad: (rain location: SMC Multipurpose Room) Participants can watch the film, “Good Night, and Good Luck”—a film directed by, written by, and co-starring George Clooney.
After Dark: Art Projections: Look for projections on dorms and library--featuring voices and images from students & faculty.
