Violence in America: Divergent
Perspectives
this web site has been dismantled. The conference Violence in America: Divergent Perspectives
represented a unique collaboration of public and private institutions, and had as its object of inquiry
some of the most compelling issues of the day.
Combining the strengths of scholarship, public policy,
and community awareness, the event provided a series of formal sessions, policy discussions, and
workshops.
By bringing clarity to the issue of violence in its varied manifestations, the conference
sought to create an alliance of common interest on issues of tolerance, and promoted practical
community-based strategies. |
