Graduate Admissions

To register for a class or workshop, you must be enrolled as a non-degree graduate student through the Office of Graduate Studies.  Once you are enrolled, your status is active for five years.

You must be enrolled as a non-degree student if you:

  • have never taken a graduate course for graduate credit at MU
  • have not taken an MU graduate course for graduate credit within the last five years
  • have completed a graduate degree or certification program at MU and want to continue taking classes
You may seek enrollment as a non-degree student or admission as a certification/degree-seeking student.

  • If you wish to be enrolled as a certification/degree-seeking student, you must complete a degree application from the MU Office of Graduate Studies and submit it with all of the associated application materials by February 1 for summer/fall consideration and October 1 for winter/spring consideration.  After you receive your letter of admission, you may register for classes.  To save time, applicants who are interested in a degree program may apply initially as nondegree; however, no more than 9 credits as a non-degree student may be transferred to a degree or certification program, subject to departmental approval.

  • If you wish to be admitted as a nondegree student in order to enroll for EDW workshops or other courses that do not count toward a master's degree or certification program, you must complete a non-degree application from the MU Office of Graduate Studies. Non-degree applicants should use the Apply Online button on the Graduate Studies webpage and create an account to complete the on-line non-degree application process. This new on-line application is the easiest and most convenient method for submitting your non-degree application information and allows faster processing of your materials. The on-line application portal accepts the $40 application fee using most major creidt cards.

  • It is possible to pursue post baccalaureate courses at Millersville University on a nondegree basis in one of the following categories:
