Audition InformationWould you like to know more about what is possible for YOUR future at Millersville University? We offer three unique degree programs in Music Education, Music Industry, Bachelor of Arts in Music (General or Performance concentration), as well as certificate programs. You can also have the option of being a dual major in any of our programs.
Our music program nurtures the musician in you and provides a place where you can play in many ensembles, be a part of student organizations, and learn skills that help you succeed in the workforce. We think "Future Forward" as we craft innovative programs that give our graduates a competitive edge in the world of the music industry and field of music education.

March 28th, 2024 - Unmask the World of Music Business Technology
Millersvilles Music Department will host a Music Business Technology (MBT) panel discussion and workshop (Unmask the World of Music Business and Technology) for high schoolers. All students interested in a career in music business, music technology, or music performance are invited to attend. Music professionals, including Grammy award winners, will be on campus to discuss their careers as music engineers, record producers, booking agents, band managers, tour managers, and performers. April 6th, 2024 - Single Reed Symposium
Join us on April 6th, 2024 for the 19th Annual MUSRS, featuring guest artists and The Millersville University Wind Ensemble and Concert Band! The Tell School of Music Single Reed Symposium is an all-day celebration open to all lovers of the clarinet and saxophone, regardless of age or background, and is hosted by Dr. Christy Banks, Prof. Ryan Kauffman, and the Millersville University Single Reed Society. Participants listen to guest artist recitals, participate in master classes and workshops, expand their improvisational skills, and perform with the festival clarinet or saxophone choir! Since its inception in 2006, the symposium has hosted over 50 national and international guest artists and clinicians! Follow the above link for more information and registration!
April 6th, 2024 - Flute Day
Announcing the third annual Millersville University Flute Day, to be held on Saturday, April 6th from 9 AM - 6 PM in the Winter Center for the Performing and Visual Arts featuring guest artist Lindsey Goodman, and guest conductor Lish Lindsey. This event is held in collaboration with the Tell School of Music and the Flute Association at Millersville University. Flute Day is open to all flutists including students in grade 8 through college, adult hobbyists, and professionals! All participants will rehearse and perform in the MUFD flute choir with guest conductor Lish Lindsey and have the opportunity to attend warmup and instructional sessions, a masterclass and recital with Lindsey Goodman, exhibits, and a variety of performances throughout the day. May 17th, 2024 - INAUGURAL HONOR BAND
Join us on May 17th for The Tell Schools of Music's First Annual High School Honor Band! The band will be a one-day, select, honor band for 9-12th grade music students. The band will rehearse in the morning and early afternoon with Dr. Joe Cernuto - Director of Bands at Millersville - and perform a concert in the evening.
