Scholarships
The Ceramics Workshop Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to junior or senior Millersville University students, who have completed at least two semesters of ceramics at Millersville University, to take a ceramics workshop which runs for a minimum of two days. Applicants must submit a written proposal to the Department of Art & Design to be considered for this scholarship.
Elizabeth Ruth Cramer/Truman A. Bender Herr Scholarship
Awarded to a student majoring in art education who demonstrates financial need. The scholarship shall be presented to a first-year student.
Robert Andriulli Scholarship for Excellence in Painting
Established in honor of Professor Emeritus Robert Andruilli, to provide a scholarship for a sophomore or junior student who exhibits excellence in painting.

Anne Tunis Summy - Print Award
Awarded to a student in printmaking class who has produced the best print.
Anne Tunis Summy - Watercolor Award
Awarded to a student demonstrating special talents and contributions related to visual arts and specifically the watercolor medium.
Cunningham’s Foundation in Art Award
Awarded to a full-time Millersville University student seeking a BFA in Art with a concentration of drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, fine art metals or ceramics. In order to be eligible, the student must have taken all four freshman art foundation courses (Drawing I, Drawing II, Two-Dimensional Design and Three-Dimensional Design) at MU and acquired an average GPA of 3.0 or better. Applicants must submit 10 labeled pdf. or jpg. images and/or videos of current artwork completed while at MU, as well as, a brief statement addressing how and why their art will impact society. Awards are based on the strength of the work presented in the portfolio as well as how well the student can articulate how their art generates social change.
Edna Rochow - Workman Memorial Award
Awarded to a junior or senior art major for the best painting in oil or related media produced during the academic year.
Ronald E. Sykes - Artist-Teacher Award
Awarded to the student who has achieved the highest QPA based on 30 or more semester hours of art courses taken at Millersville University. Selection is made from the three most outstanding art teachers of the year.
