Micro Work Experiences

Non Credit, Short-Term Project Work

Millersville University's partnership with Parker Dewey supports your college-to-career transition by providing paid, non-credit opportunities to build valuable professional experience.

Micro work experiences are paid, short-term projects posted by employers across a wide range of industries, paying between $200-$600 for successful completion. Projects typically require 5-40 hours of total work across 1-4 weeks and can be completed remotely. The projects are posted by employers on a rolling basis and approved by our partner, Parker Dewey.

Micro work experiences are a great way to earn money, build your resume and set yourself up for success. By participating in a micro work experience, you can:

  • Develop the career readiness competencies valued by employers
  • Explore new industries and potential career paths
  • Build meaningful connections with organizations across the country
  • Demonstrate your skills and abilities – many employers use micro work experiences as a way to connect with potential interns and full-time hires

To explore available short-term projects you must first create a Parker Dewey Career Launcher profile.   Please note that all projects have a posted start date.  While these may change, make sure you review the project's posted timeline so that you can determine if you are available to complete the project in the time indicated.  If you are selected, information will be emailed to you.  If you have questions or need assistance, please call The Career Center at (717) 871-7655 or email careers@millersville.edu
