Grants & Scholarships

Grants and Scholarships are types of financial aid that do not have to be repaid.  Grants are based on financial need and require the FAFSA to be completed to obtain them.  Scholarships can be based on financial need or based on merit.


Federal Pell Grant

The U.S. Department of Education determines a student's eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant is awarded to eligible, degree-seeking undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's degree.

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is administered by the Office of Financial Aid and awarded to degree-seeking undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's degree.

The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) administers and determines a student's eligibility for the PA State Grant. Students must be residents of Pennsylvania and complete the application for PHEAA in order to be considered.

Scholarships are awarded based upon various criteria, such as academic merit, diversity and inclusion, athletic skill, and financial need. Scholarships can come from different places such as your school, community, or private organizations.
