Presented by Allison Yarrow, Director of Campus Recreation, and Margaret Thorwart, Center for Health Education & Promotion Director, will discuss Green Dot's goal to implement a bystander intervention strategy that prevents and reduces power-based personal violence. Power-based violence includes: sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. A Green Dot is a behavior, choice, or action that promotes safety for everyone. |

10:00am-11:00am | Treating Myself: Relearning Proper Self-Love |
Join Nicole Walters, graduate student extern at Millersville University, as she presents "Treating Myself: Relearning Proper Self-Love", a workshop intended to dispel misinformation on managing self-care as well as introduce tools to enhance one's self worth. Registration is limited to 60 people. |

Join English Instructor Joyce Anderson as she shares new and easy ways to journal for wellness and for fun. Bring a notebook or your favorite device. |

Noon-1:00pm | Basic Self Defense |
Dwight Horsey, former Associate VP for Student Financial Services, presents an engaging, interactive session reviewing the basics of how to stay safe and demonstrate some simple personal protection techniques anyone can use. This workshop is for everyone no matter their age or physical ability. No special attire required. Dwight has been practicing martial arts for over 30 years. He taught Karate for DC Parks and Recreation, a class in Women's Self Defense for McDaniel College as well as numerous competitions, workshops, conferences, and presentations for student organizations. |
