New Commuting Student Orientation

Your Orientation Program: August 23-25, 2019

We look forward to you joining our community!

Orientation for new commuting students will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 through Sunday, August 25, 2019. Orientation will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • connect with faculty and students in your field of study
  • learn more about the MU community and its expectations for you as a citizen
  • sample meals in the University dining hall
  • obtain your Marauder OneCard (student ID), purchase textbooks, and take care of any last minute business
  • participate in some Millersville University traditions

Fall Orientation Information

An email with details about your orientation program is sent to your Millersville University email address at the beginning of August. You then receive an invitation to download the GUIDEBOOK app, which provides you with access to the complete orientation schedule.

If you would prefer a paper schedule, click the download button for a printable copy.

 Your O-Group

You will be contacted during summer by a current MU student serving as your Orientation Leader (OL). This student will be a great contact for questions and concerns prior to your arrival in August. In addition, you'll be introduced to other students who will be in the same orientation group with you. You'll have an opportunity to make some connections that will make the transition to Millersville that much easier in the fall. The messages will be sent through your Millersville email account, so be sure to check it frequently.

Orientation Fee

Commuting students are required to attend orientation much in the same way that students are required to attend classes. A fee of $264 is included in your semester bill to cover the expenses associated with the program. Meals are provided to commuting students throughout the weekend program, encouraging you to participate in all the programming offered. Our commitment to campus service providers and material costs prevents the issuing of refunds should you be unable to attend the program.
