The online program allows registered nurses to work toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at their own pace and while continuing to work as an RN. Faculty advisers provide individualized analysis of your previous credits to ensure the most efficient path to your degree.

The RN to BSN program at Millersville University is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

What Will You Learn?

RN to BSN students have the option to conduct their study in a traditional on-campus format, a blended off-campus format or a completely online format. Blended on-campus learning takes place at Millersville University and blended off-campus learning is based at the Dixon University Center in Harrisburg. The online RN to BSN program maintains flexibility while ensuring that coursework meets the needs of passionate and professional nurses.

This flexible program is based on the unique needs of the adult learner and consists of nine courses or 31 credits focused on nursing. In addition, students are awarded 30 lower-division credits for their previous nursing courses. Program highlights include courses focused on ethics, diversity and integration of technology in healthcare.

Additionally, MU students receive unique opportunities to engage in nursing advocacy, such as PSNA’s Day on Capitol Hill and other events. Students also are able to engage in an evidence-based practice showcase at local healthcare facilities to highlight their work in through a Nursing Research course. Other unique community experiences are available through Millersville University's collaboration with local food banks by offering health promotion teaching and screenings each month.
