LPP Program Eligibility
Admissions Requirements
To join LPP, students must be:
- US citizens or permanent residents
- Attending or planning to attend McCaskey High School in Lancaster, PA.
Students can only sign up for LPP in high school.
Program Requirements
To guarantee participation in the program, students must attend at least 90% of the following LPP events:
- College Skills Development Workshops at Millersville University (1 per month)
- Corporate Mentoring Sessions at Millersville University (1 per month in 10th, 11th and 12th grades)
- Parent-Student Meetings at McCaskey High School (1 per month)
Scholarship Guidelines
If students attend at least 90% of LPP events by the end of their senior year at McCaskey and are accepted to and attend Millersville University, they may qualify for a Lancaster Partnership Program Scholarship.
The amount of the scholarship depends on their high school grade point average (GPA) upon graduation from McCaskey High School, listed below. Students must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by May 1 of their senior year and each year thereafter as Millersville University students and have financial need as stated on the FAFSA to qualify for this scholarship.
The following are the scholarship amounts students may receive depending on their GPA:
2.50 to 2.70 GPA |
A maximum of $2,000 per year per student ($1,000 per semester per student) is combined with your PHEAA Grant and Pell Grant |
2.71 to 3.2 GPA |
A maximum of $3,000 per year per student ($1,500 per semester per student) is combined with your PHEAA Grant and Pell Grant |
3.21 to 4.0 GPA |
A maximum of $5,000 per year per student ($2,500 per semester per student) is combined with your PHEAA Grant and Pell Grant |
This scholarship is good only at Millersville University and is awarded for a maximum of 10 semesters.
Every semester at Millersville University, LPP will check students’ GPA. If a student’s GPA falls below 2.50, the student may lose their scholarship. A student can regain their scholarship the next semester they obtain a GPA of 2.50 or higher.
Please note there is no guarantee that students will receive the Lancaster Partnership Program Scholarship. Scholarships are awarded based on students’ maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.50, their income eligibility based on information provided on the FAFSA, and any other scholarship eligibility as determined by corporate sponsors and/or scholarship funding organization.
Transfer Policy
LPP students transferring from HACC to Millersville University must successfully complete 12 transferable credits.
Retention Policy
The Partnership student must maintain his/her eligibility of both his/her Title IV and PHEAA Grant funds, in order to continue Partnership funding.
Re-Entry Policy
Partnership students who have withdrawn from Millersville and wish to re-enter as a Partnership recipient must:
- Be in good academic standing as defined by the University.
- Be eligible to receive Title IV and PHEAA Grant Funds.
