Inspirations (for major, research, internship):
My inspiration for engineering has always come from my fascination with learning how things work and understanding that knowledge could be used to improve the lives of others.
Highlights (from courses/internship/research):
I’d say that the biggest highlight from my courses so far is that students are supported and encouraged to find internships and opportunities to grow.
Takeaway (from courses/internship/research):
The biggest takeaway from my experience so far is that even if you mess up, instead of feeling like you failed you should realize that it’s an opportunity to learn and do it the right way.
Advice (for incoming freshman in your shoes):
My advice for freshman is that they shouldn’t hesitate to ask questions and to ask for help. Asking questions is the greatest way to learn and do better in your field.
Aspirations (upon graduation):
After graduating I hope to start my own engineering and technology firm devoted to making advancements in technologies that will make the world better such as renewable energy sources.
What has been the most significant and/or exciting aspect of your work?
The most exciting aspect of my work so far is that I get the opportunity to practice the theory being taught in classes and make innovations on how things are traditionally done.
