Latest Forecast

Following a mostly cloudy, cool, and unsettled Mother's Day weekend, south-to-southwesterly winds have ushered warmer and drier air back into northern MD and southeastern PA this afternoon. Mostly sunny skies will accompany highs in the low-to-mid 70s. Unfortunately, another slow-moving storm system will track from the mid-Mississippi Valley to the southern mid-Atlantic coastline spanning Tuesday to Wednesday evening. Ahead of the system, clouds will gradually increase tonight into tomorrow morning, and showers should arrive by or shortly before midday. Periods of steadier rain are then expected to soak the Lower Susquehanna Valley from Tuesday night into Wednesday, but rainfall amounts and the northward extent of any heavier rain remain uncertain. At this time, a general 0.50-1.00" of rain is anticipated, but that is subject to change over the next 24 hours.
