Public Affairs Forums Grants

The Walker Center for Responsibility and Leadership is pleased to offer Millersville undergraduates that are members of college-recognized student organizations access to grant(s) for hosting public affairs programs. These programs offer civic engagement focused experiential learning opportunities for students and the community. We can provide up to $500 or 50% of the cost of a public affairs program hosted by student organizations on-campus. Application deadline is _______ for fall semester 2009.

Grant Guidelines

  • Project must be civically focused and engage the community.
  • Award of funding requires a fund match by applicant.

Student Impact Projects

Recognizing the need to assist students who desire to make an impact in their community through civic engagement activities or individual initiatives, The Walker Center for Leadership and Responsibility will accept applications to support those efforts and offer funding up to $750.

Civic Growth Projects

Grant(s) will be available to students or faculty who desire to engage in Civic Growth Projects. These projects will impact the community and provide leadership opportunities through experiential learning. Such projects could allow students to develop diplomatic, negotiation, or public speaking skills. The primary goal of a Civic Growth Project is for students to gain insight or alternate perspectives on topics of a global scale. Civic Growth Projects will foster the interaction and connection with peers. The Walker Center for Responsibility and Leadership will offer funding is available for up to $750 to support Civic Growth Projects.
